Donna Hood began her dance training at the age of three starting with the fundamentals of classical ballet and tap. Through the first grade all the way through high school, Donna had also trained in jazz, pointe, lyrical, modern, clogging, and drill. During her high school years, Donna competed in numerous dance competitions, winning or placing against thousands of other dancers from around the country.

Donna moved out to East Texas to continue her dance education at Kilgore College after graduating high school, where she became a part of the world renowned Kilgore College Rangerettes. The Kilgore College Rangerettes is the first precision drill team in the world, created in 1940. During her time with the Rangerettes she performed internationally, and annually at the Cotton Bowl Classic, several NFL games, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the 2004 presidential inauguration for George W. Bush.

Following her 2 years of rigorous training at Kilgore, Donna returned to Houston to continue her dance training in hip hop and street jazz at Planet Funk Academy. During her time at Planet Funk, Donna had teamed up with a group of friends to create the sexy, hard-hitting street jazz crew known as Distorted X. Just after a few short weeks of creating the crew, Distorted X was selected to be apart of the second season of the very popular MTV series, "Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew."

After being released from the show in July 2008, Donna continued dancing and teaching more than ever due to the popular demand of the group. Although Distorted X was known as a street-jazz crew, Donna's passion lies in her roots as a contemporary dancer and instructor. Since the show, Donna has performed at numerous fashion shows, charity events, and other events around the city of Houston. Donna now resides at a new, up and coming dance studio called Soreal Studio, along with other members of Distotred X and Soreal Cru (Runner-up for ABDC Season 2). Donna hopes to share her fluid-contemporary style along with teaching a strong foundation for building and creating well-rounded dancers.
