COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN

Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us. We have been working diligently with all of our hotels and convention centers to come up with the safest possible experience for all of our clients and also for the Streetz staff and faculty. We understand that some of these steps may be too far for some and not far enough for others. We will continue to update our procedures as we receive more information.

Please know these changes are not long term, but only in place to assist us in bringing you the event you all know and love while being as safe as possible. Thank you again for your continual trust, support, and patience as we navigate this difficult time.

GENERAL INFORMATION

​

  • We are asking all attendees who show any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been around anyone with COVID-19 in the two weeks leading up to the event, to not attend. Streetz Faculty and Staff will follow the same guidelines.

  • Face masks will be HIGHLY recommended but not mandatory at Streetz events. 

  • In order to limit occupancy of each ballroom, we will not allow observers during classes. This will help give dancers the optimal amount of space to continue practicing social distancing. We will allow registered teachers and studio owners to be in the rooms along with a limited number of designated assistants to be in the room to help watch over your dancers. This policy will be strictly enforced.  Each Streetz Stars dancers will be allowed 1 observer to join them in the Streetz Stars room. Dance studios may purchase up to 2 Studio Assistant passes for $50 each. If a studio needs more passes, please contact info@thestreetzdance.com.

  • As always, the competition and shows will be live-streamed.

  • Dressing room spaces will be expanded to as many locations as possible to help comply with social distancing.

  • All award ceremonies and closing shows at our 3 day events will be held in person at the main stage this year. These events will also be live streamed for those that are unable to attend. 

  • Each hotel and venue has increased their sanitation services to provide us with the safest environment possible.

  • We encourage all attendees to practice frequent and proper hand washing as well as carrying their own hand sanitizers and disinfectants as they see fit.

  • We ask that all competition music is uploaded at least 1 week before the event. If you need assistance, please contact our admin team prior to your event to assist.

  • All attendees will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver. Our admin team will be contacting all studios directly to execute this process once your registration is completed.

  • Official Autograph Session will be cancelled until further notice.

  • The Battle event may be cancelled until further notice.​

REFUND POLICY

  • If an in-person event is unable to be held on the originally advertised dates, Streetz will issue a FULL REFUND with 10-15 business days post event. If you choose to pay with a credit card, there will be a credit card processing fee of 3% deducted from your total refund. If you choose to pay with a check, there will be no processing fee deducted and you will receive your full total paid. It is recommended to pay with a check for all Streetz Events during the pandemic.

CONVENTION​​

  • Our Warm Up will be conducted in the main stage ballroom.

COMPETITION

  • ​Streetz will be offering LIVE Streaming for all competition

  • All seating for competition will be based on current CDC and local guidelines in your city.

  • We will be limiting the number of routines backstage

  • We ask that all competition music is uploaded at least 1 week in advance. If you need assistance, please contact our admin team prior to your event to assist.

  •  They must stay with their team at all times. Our staff will be assisting with social distancing between studios. If your dancers choose to wear masks while performing, there will be no point deductions.

WHAT PARENTS CAN EXPECT FOR COMPETITION

  • Masks are HIGHLY recommended but not mandatory.

  • If you are feeling sick or have any COVID-19 symptoms we ask that you stay home and tune into the livestream to support your dancer(s). 

  • The entire competition, including awards, will be livestreamed. We ask any extra guests watch via livestream to limit contact and exposure in the ballroom.

  • The first rows of seats are reserved for studio owners and teachers ONLY. They will be clearly labeled and we ask that you leave those seats open for them. 

  • Photo and video is prohibited. Shutter Storm takes wonderful photos and videos of your dancer that you may purchase throughout the weekend. This rule is strictly enforced.

AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Awards will be held in person on the main stage following competition. 

  • All adjudication awards on Friday and Saturday following the competition, as well as the Closing Show will be streamed live. The live stream will be available to watch on all of your mobile devices, tablets and/or computers.

  • Adjudication pins will be available for contactless pickup by 12pm on Sunday. You may also choose to donate your awards back to Streetz if you do not want to pick them up.  Awards must be picked up at the event as we will not be mailing out awards later.
