MARKETING ASSISTANT

 

Streetz Dance Convention & Competition is looking for an experienced, reliable, and creative Marketing Assistant to work directly under the CEO. This position requires candidate to work full-time in our home office as well as having the option to travel from Thursday-Sunday on some weekends (dates listed below). The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, creative, professional, excels at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment, and will be able to multi-task across multiple disciplines and responsibilities, including, but not limited to the following duties:

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing marketing plans

  • Undertaking competitor research and analyses

  • Conducting market research to establish customer trends and habits

  • Establishing goals and objectives in order to reach our customers through appropriate marketing channels (digital and traditional)

  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers through prospecting and networking

  • Promoting brand awareness through marketing efforts

  • Creating marketing materials for our website and other marketing platforms

  • Demonstrating expertise in various areas, including optimization, advertising, social media, direct marketing, and event planning

  • Create email marketing campaigns to promote

  • Ensure marketing message is conveyed clearly and delivered properly to prospects

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, bench-marking, messaging and audience identification

  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action

  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content

  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

  • Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media

  • Managing merchandise design processes & inventory control

  • Providing administrative tasks as needed

  • Generally pitching in to do whatever is needed to keep Streetz moving forward

Requirements:

  • Must live in the Golden Triangle/Southeast Texas area

  • 2+ years of equivalent or relevant work experience

  • Proficient in G Suite & Microsoft Office

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Photography & videography skills a plus, but not required

  • Experience with SEO is a plus, but not required

  • Ability to take direction well

  • Ability to maintain a professional image and demonstrate sound judgment at all times

  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion

  • Ability to manage numerous tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited direction

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Must be open-minded and have the ability to adapt to fast changing situations

  • Must be a dedicated team player & have a positive attitude

  • Must be creative

  • Must have exceptional written & oral communication skills

  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Must have seasoned communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to devise and implement processes and process improvements in order to increase daily efficiency and effectiveness

  • Event planning is a plus, but not required

  • Knowledge of dance education/training is a plus, but not required

  • Along with working full-time in our home office, candidate will also have the option to travel to and work the following events:

Baton Rouge, LA: January 8-10, 2021
Houston, TX: January 15-17, 2021
Tampa, FL: January 22-24, 2021
Indianapolis, IN February 12-14, 2021
Beaumont, TX: February 19-21, 2021
Dallas, TX: March 5-7, 2021
San Marcos, TX March 19-21, 2021
Houma, LA: April 9-11, 2021
Mobile, AL: April 23-25, 2021
Albuquerque, NM April 30-May 2, 2021
ALL TRAVEL COSTS AND ACCOMMODATIONS WILL BE COVERED BY STREETZ
