Administrative Assistant (Part-time)

​

Streetz Dance Convention & Competition is a touring dance company that provides dance training & competitions across the nation. We are currently looking for a reliable, and task- oriented Part-time Administrative Assistant to support the members of the office. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, organized, professional, excels at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment, and will be able to multi-task across multiple disciplines and responsibilities, including, but not limited to the following duties:

Responsibilities:

​

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to senior leaders

  • Composes schedules and business letters as requested

  • Prepares welcome/registration event packets

  • Assists in making phone calls and setting up appointments as directed

  • Data entry – Input scholarships post event

  • Manage event competition music and playlists

  • Manage event awards inventory, event awards counts, and awards prep.

  • Merchandise organization & counts

  • Prepare, store and organize marketing and event merchandise

  • Generally pitching in to do whatever is needed to keep company moving forward

Requirements:

​

  • Must live in the Golden Triangle/Southeast Texas area

  • Must be able to work in a office setting in Beaumont, TX for 20-24 hours a week

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role

  • Familiarity with clerical procedures and office management systems

  • Ability to take direction well

  • Proficient in Google Sheets & Microsoft Office

  • Unwavering attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain a professional image and demonstrate sound judgment at all times

  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion

  • Ability to manage numerous tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited direction

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Must be open-minded and have the ability to adapt to fast changing situations

  • Must be a dedicated team player & have a positive attitude

  • Must have exceptional written & oral communication skills

  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Must have seasoned communication and customer service skills

  • Event planning is a plus but not required

  • Knowledge of dance education/training is a plus but not required

Salary:

​

  • Dependent on experience

​

A part-time employee is not eligible for benefits.

Event Photographer/Videographer

​

Streetz is looking for an event photographer/videographer to help bring Streetz promotions to the next level!

​

Responsibilities:

​

  • Work with media team to create content for social media and website

  • Capture class and behind the scenes photo and video for promotional use

  • Understand and implement marketing strategies

​

Requirements:

​

  • Must be available to travel Friday-Sunday for Streetz Events

  • Proven experience as a photographer

  • Photography and Videography experience a must

  • Must be familiar with editing programs 

  • Must be familiar with social media platforms such as Instagam, Youtube, Tiktok and Facebook

  • Must provide your own equipment

​

Salary: Event Pay

Emcee/Event Staff

​

Streetz is looking for an event staff member that has emcee experience or has the interest and skills to become an event emcee

​

Responsibilities:

​

  • Announce competition dances to the stage

  • Control LED Screen (Training Provided)

  • Work closely with tabulator and backstage manager to provide a smooth competition

  • Help in the setting up and tearing down of the event

  • Help work the events

  • Provide exceptional customer service

  • Generally pitching in to do whatever is needed to keep company moving forward

​

Requirements:

​

  • Ability to take direction well

  • Ability to maintain a professional image and demonstrate sound judgment at all times

  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion

  • Ability to manage numerous tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited direction

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Must be open-minded and have the ability to adapt to fast changing situations

  • Must be a dedicated team player & have a positive attitude

  • Must have excellent problem solving skills

  • Must have seasoned communication and customer service skills

  • Must speak clearly and confidently

  • Must possess leadership qualities

  • Must have Emcee experience or the interest and ability to learn how to Emcee.
