MARKETING ASSISTANT
Streetz Dance Convention & Competition is looking for an experienced, reliable, and creative Marketing Assistant to work directly under the CEO. This position requires candidate to work full-time in our home office as well as having the option to travel from Thursday-Sunday on some weekends (dates listed below). The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, creative, professional, excels at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment, and will be able to multi-task across multiple disciplines and responsibilities, including, but not limited to the following duties:
Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing marketing plans
-
Undertaking competitor research and analyses
-
Conducting market research to establish customer trends and habits
-
Establishing goals and objectives in order to reach our customers through appropriate marketing channels (digital and traditional)
-
Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers through prospecting and networking
-
Promoting brand awareness through marketing efforts
-
Creating marketing materials for our website and other marketing platforms
-
Demonstrating expertise in various areas, including optimization, advertising, social media, direct marketing, and event planning
-
Create email marketing campaigns to promote
-
Ensure marketing message is conveyed clearly and delivered properly to prospects
-
Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, bench-marking, messaging and audience identification
-
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
-
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
-
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media
-
Managing merchandise design processes & inventory control
-
Providing administrative tasks as needed
-
Generally pitching in to do whatever is needed to keep Streetz moving forward
Requirements:
-
Must live in the Golden Triangle/Southeast Texas area
-
2+ years of equivalent or relevant work experience
-
Proficient in G Suite & Microsoft Office
-
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
-
Photography & videography skills a plus, but not required
-
Experience with SEO is a plus, but not required
-
Ability to take direction well
-
Ability to maintain a professional image and demonstrate sound judgment at all times
-
Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion
-
Ability to manage numerous tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited direction

Ability to work well under pressure

Ability to multi-task

Must be open-minded and have the ability to adapt to fast changing situations

Must have exceptional written & oral communication skills

Event planning is a plus, but not required

Knowledge of dance education/training is a plus, but not required

Mobile, AL: April 23-25, 2021
Albuquerque, NM April 30-May 2, 2021
