2019-2020 NATIONAL FINALS PRICING
PRE-QUALIFYING & NATIONAL FINALS
EXT. LINE (16-24)
(Additional studio fees may apply.)
All fees are per dancer per routine.
A 5 point deduction will be taken if the time limit is exceeded.
NEED ADDITIONAL TIME? You may purchase up to 3 additional minutes of time for any Group, Line, Ext. Line, or Production for just $5 per dancer, per additional minute. PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE TO REQUEST MORE TIME.
**SOLO'S DO NOT NEED TO PRE-QUALIFY**
**IF PRE-QUALIFYING, YOU WILL PAY ENTRY FEES TWICE. ONCE FOR THE PRE-QUALIFYING COMPETITION AND ONCE FOR THE NATIONAL FINALS COMPETITION.
50% of the dancers, choreography, and music in the Nationals routine must be from the regional routine.
Competition routines may only move up or down ONE category. Example, a line can move up one category to an extended line or down one category to a group. The line could not move down to a duo/trio or up to a production. The only exception is that a duo/trio cannot move down to a solo.
Competition routines may not change subject from what it qualified in at Regionals.
Age is determined by actual age as of January 1st of the competition year.
To reach the average age of the entry, add all of the ages together and divide by the number of dancers in the entry. When averaging ages, always DROP THE DECIMAL POINT. For example, if a routine averages to an age 10.7, you would drop the decimal, therefore, the routine would compete in the 8-10 yr. old category.
2 WAYS TO COMPETE
COMPETITIVE - Entries compete against other dances for critiques, awards, and prizes.
SHOWCASE - Entries that wish to perform only for critiques. These routines will not be scored and will not be eligible for Adjudicated or High Score awards. Great for beginning dancers and performance groups.
JAZZ - Primarily jazz technique, utilizing uptempo music.
BALLET - Primarily ballet or pointe technique, including classical steps and movements.
TAP - Primarily tap technique. Routines demonstrating clogging technique may not compete in the tap category.
HIP HOP - A routine utilizing hip hop or street type moves.
LYRICAL - A combination of jazz and ballet techniques to slow music incorporating emotional and storytelling elements.
CONTEMPORARY - A fusion of many jazz styles with a strong emphasis on modern technique.
MUSICAL THEATRE - Consists of Broadway/theatre dance styles.
OPEN - Consists of all other categories or a combination of multiple categories. Not sure? call our office.
Judges reserve the right to change the performance division of a number if they feel it is incorrectly placed.
