STREETZ SCHOLARSHIPS

STREETZ ELITE SCHOLARSHIP

At Streetz, all Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior  dancers (ages 8-19) that are registered for the full workshop will be participating in the Elite Scholarship Audition Class. Dancers must audition by their age as of January 1st. ALL DANCERS MUST BE IN THEIR "AGE APPROPRIATE" ROOM FOR THE ELITE AUDITION AS WELL AS THE PRECEDING AUDITION COMBO CLASS. During the class prior to the audition, students will learn their audition routine. During the audition, the dancers will be broken up into groups and Streetz faculty will evaluate. Students will be chosen by the faculty in each room of the following age groups: Mini (8-10), Junior (11-12), Teen (13-15), and Senior (16-19). The selected dancers will be announced at the end of the audition. These students will be the Elite Finalists! All Elite Finalists will automatically receive a full scholarship to the current season's Nationals. PLEASE NOTE: Dancers must attend ALL classes and wear their scholarship numbers for all of Saturday's and Sunday's classes.

Once you are an Elite winner in one regional cities, you are not eligible to be an Elite winner in another city. Elite Finalists may continue to audition in other cities to become an Elite winner.

ELITE Winners will receive: â€‹

  • One STREETZ Regional Scholarship to be used at one STREETZ regional workshop during the following season

  • One Full Workshop Scholarship to the current years Streetz National Finals

  • Eligibility to compete in the current years Dancer of the Year Competition at Streetz National Finals

ELITE Finalists will receive: â€‹

  • One Full Workshop Scholarship to the current years Streetz National Finals

  • Eligibility to compete in the current years Dancer of the Year Competition at Streetz National Finals

CLASS SCHOLARSHIP

In every regional city, each Streetz faculty member will be awarding scholarships to dancers that excel at their particular style in each of their individual classes. This will give students the opportunity to receive scholarships in all disciplines of dance: tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, ballet, etc. Class Scholarships can be awarded to any dancer, ages 8-19, in the Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior workshop levels. The number of scholarship winners may vary depending on convention size and skill level. Dancers may redeem only one Class Scholarship per season.

All Class Scholarship recipients will receive: 

  • 25% off convention registration to the current years National Finals

  • Eligibility to compete in the current years Dancer of the Year Competition at Streetz National Finals

STANDOUT SCHOLARSHIP

In every regional city, each Streetz faculty member will choose one dancer as the recipient of their Standout Scholarship. This dancer may be someone who excels in class, someone who shows a lot of potential, or someone who stands out to the faculty for a special reason. The Standout Scholarship recipient can come back to TWO Streetz regional city during the following season and participate in the workshop free of charge! Standout Scholarships can be awarded to any dancer, ages 8-19, in the Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior workshop levels. Dancers are eligible for only one Standout Scholarship per season. One day dancers and Streetz Elite Winners are not eligible for Standout Scholarship.

INSPIRE SCHOLARSHIP

At Streetz, our main priority is to INSPIRE and BE INSPIRED. Streetz Faculty will award one dancer at each regional city to be the recipient of our Inspire Scholarship. This scholarship is meant for students that not only excels in all aspects of dance, but also uplifts other dancers around them while encompassing all of Streetz values.  Recipients of this award will receive a year long scholarship to the following year’s tour. One day dancers are eligible for the Inspire Scholarship.

STUDIO SCHOLARSHIP

Each studio that brings 10 or more paying dancers to the workshop will receive a Streetz Studio Scholarship, which was started as a tool for studios owners to help their dancers connect the convention experience with their studio experience. The Studio Scholarship allows one dancer from each studio to come back to one Streetz workshop the following season free of charge! One day dancers are not eligible for the Studio Scholarship.

STREETZX FULL NATIONALS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is only available for dancers attending Streetz Xperience 1-day events. Dancers that win the Full Nationals Scholarship will be able to attend Nationals convention classes for free. It also give the dancer eligibility to compete in the Dancer of the Year competition at Streetz National Finals.  

STREETZX FULL CONVENTION SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is only available for dancers attending Streetz Xperience 1-day events. Dancers that win the Full Convention Scholarship will be able to attend a regional event for free during the following season. It also give the dancer eligibility to compete in the Dancer of the Year competition at Streetz National Finals.

THE DETAILS...

  • IF A DANCER RECEIVES MULTIPLE SCHOLARSHIPS, THE TOP SCHOLARSHIP WILL TAKE FIRST PRIORITY IF GOING TOWARDS THE SAME EVENT. SCHOLARSHIPS DO NOT STACK.

  • Teachers may register dancers for whichever workshop level they feel the dancer will benefit from the most, however, ALL dancers MUST be in the age-appropriate room during the ELITE Audition Combo Class as well as the actual ELITE Audition. Any dancers auditioning with the wrong workshop level will not be eligible for any ELITE scholarships.

  • One-day students at a 3-day event are not eligible for any scholarships.

  • Dancers ages 20+ are not eligible for any scholarships.

  • All scholarships must be used within a year of receiving them.

  • National Finals Scholarships (STREETZ Elite Finalists) may be used for the current years STREETZ National Finals ONLY.

  • Scholarships are not transferable.

  • Scholarship are saved under dancers name. During registration, select add scholarship and the scholarship that they won. The system will automatically subtract the scholarship amount.  If on the payment screen, the scholarship amount did not subtract, please contact info@thestreetzdance.com

  • All Streetz scholarships are saved under the studio account.  If a dancer swaps studios, the scholarships do not transfer unless the prior studio releases the scholarships by email info@thestreetzdance.com.
