QUALIFICATIONS

All studio that qualify for Studio of the Year will receive the following benefits at Nationals:

One free VIP table seat at the Gala
Exclusive early access to purchase one full table at the Gala (up to the remaining 9 seats)
Chance to win $7,500 grand prize and be crowned Studio of the Year

25% - Combined average score of a studio's top 10 scoring group routines

25% - Versatility in dance styles and age categories

Studio shows versatility throughout classes and competition across dance styles and age categories. This can be achieved by excelling at multiple styles in convention classes, registering dancers of all ages, competing group routines in multiple styles, and competing routines within multiple age categories.

20% - Positive attitude

Maintain positive attitudes in regional and Nationals classes, rehearsals, and competitions

20% - Sportsmanship

Studio displays good sportsmanship in classes, backstage, and in dressing rooms during competitions

10% - Administrative organization

Consistent administrative organization, timeliness, and cooperation throughout the entire season

Studios cannot win Studio of the Year 2 years in a row
The winning studio will receive a grand cash prize of $7,500. Studio of the Year cash prize cannot be stacked with other cash prizes. The studio that wins this award will automatically forfeit any other cash prizes won from other award titles. For example, if Studio 123 wins Studio of the Year and a Showdown Champion, they will keep all titles, physical awards, and recognition of both Studio of the Year and Showdown Champion but they will only go home with the cash prize of $7,500 and will forfeit the $1,000 prize that is won with Showdown Champion. This award will be announced during the Gala.
